Robert D. Fatovic is executive vice president and chief legal officer at Ryder System, Inc., a leading supply chain, dedicated transportation, and fleet management solutions company. Over the course of three decades at Ryder, Mr. Fatovic has served in senior executive leadership positions in law, operations, real estate, government affairs, compliance, environmental management, safety, security, and sustainability reporting. He has been a member of the company’s executive leadership team and board secretary since 2004.

Mr. Fatovic joined Ryder in 1994 as assistant division counsel and has held several positions of increasing responsibility in the Law department. In 1999, he became general counsel of Ryder’s supply chain business segment and was subsequently promoted to senior vice president and deputy general counsel in 2001. He also served on Ryder’s margin improvement team for Supply Chain Solutions (SCS) and the SCS transformation team.
In 2002, Mr. Fatovic was appointed senior vice president of U.S. supply chain business operations, high tech, and consumer industries. In this position, he was responsible for the company’s U.S.-based supply chain businesses serving these vertical industries.
Prior to joining Ryder, Mr. Fatovic was an associate attorney at Hannoch Weisman, PC, a New Jersey-based law firm, where he specialized in litigation and environmental law.
Mr. Fatovic earned a law degree at Boston College Law School and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance with honors from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College. Mr. Fatovic serves on the board of directors of Easterseals South Florida.
